MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Wego Chemical Group

Founded in 1978 as a two-person office in New York, Wego Chemical Group has evolved into a global supplier, importer, and distributor of chemicals, minerals, and raw materials, now operating across four continents. From its earliest days, Wego’s focus has been on forging international partnerships, beginning with its first sourcing ventures in Asia and expanding to sales operations in Europe and Latin America. Over time, the company established a worldwide presence with offices in China, Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, the Netherlands, and most recently Colombia, ensuring that customers in diverse industries have access to a reliable global supply chain.

Wego’s growth has been marked by key milestones that demonstrate its commitment to safety, compliance, and customer trust. In recent years, the company has extended its Latin American footprint with sales operations in Colombia, while also investing in the development of a new Global Headquarters in Great Neck, New York.

In 2015, Wego joined the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) as a candidate member, achieving full Responsible Distribution verification by 2017.

Wego supplies a broad range of markets including coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers; agriculture and animal nutrition; water treatment; electronics; lubricants; mining; and textiles. Customers value Wego’s ability to manage not only the sourcing of competitively priced materials—particularly from Asia—but also the critical aspects of regulatory compliance, customs clearance, logistics, and distribution.
