This presentation provides a practical overview of additive technologies used to optimize coating formulation and performance. Key topics include defoaming and deaeration, surface control, pigment wetting and dispersing, rheology modification, driers and catalysts, and specialty additives. Emphasis is placed on understanding the causes of common coating defects and selecting the appropriate additive chemistry to improve wetting, flow and leveling, dispersion stability, application properties, and final film performance.
